Denise ‘Sincerity’ Garcia is an Ecuadorian-American artist, performer, educator and cultural ambassador from Brooklyn, NY. Sincerity is a core member of Rhyme Like a Girl founded by Toni Blackman, and has toured internationally as a Hip Hop Diplomat with the U.S Embassy since 2018. Those tours include Arts Envoy Uganda, One Beat Colombia, American Music Abroad to Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, and lastly Next Level to the Netherlands for the 50th year anniversary of Hip Hop.

Sin Miedo translates to “No Fear”. It was written as a declaration during the 2020 Covid Pandemic in

midst of uncertainty and social unrest.

Sincerity was mentioned in Rollingstone Colombia, appeared on BBC’s Queens of Rap in the UK produced by Poppy Begum, and the Netflix Docu-Series Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip Hop. Sincerity is an avid content creator and lover of words. She believes art has the power to connect and bring people together. She loves bridging her Latinx roots with her Brooklyn style into her artistry while voicing pride for her heritage and inspiring others to do the same.

She is currently an Arts Program Coordinator at Rikers Island where she is designing a Hip Hop and Poetry Curriculum for incarcerated individuals. For the last ten years Sincerity has performed, taught, hosted, and curated events in New York City and different countries in the world taking her passion for entertainment, people, music, and social justice everywhere she goes.
